The foot pressure sensor plate Podiastat records and evaluates pressure distribution under the foot in static(weight-bearing), dynamic(walking) and postural imbalance conditions. This tool is for the early recognition of altered pressure patterns in the individuals with diabetes. It was documented that during walking the neuropathic patients exhibit a slap gait. Information derived are important in gait posture research for diagnosing lower limb problems, footwear designs, sports biomechanics, injury prevention and other applications.
